Introduction

In 1990 Ulaanbaatar Railway's engineers founded a pioneer Freight Forwarder called "Mongolteekh firm" which was the foundation of today's MONGOLTRANS. The International Freight Forwarder MONGOLTRANS was founded in November 26, 1991. Just like every single name, our company's name has it's own special meaning. The word MONGOLTRANS consist from MONGOL and TRANS. We all know MONGOL, this is the name of a Great Imperia - Mongolia whom son the great Chinggis khan known Worldwide. And TRANS, if we look this word in dictionary we will find meanings as - over, across, beyond, in other words never stays in one place or on one level but ALWAYS MOVES FORWARD and DEVELOPS side by side with all our estimated partners.

However MONGOLTRANS Company is one per cent private based The Ulaanbaatar Railways used to be one of its investors from 1991-1996.

Today MONGOLTRANS has over 100 employees with its representatives in Beijing, P.R.C.; Moscow, Russian Federation; Warszawa, Poland; and with braches in Zamyn Uud south border of Mongolia, Sukhbaatar north border, Darkhan city, and Erdenet city.

MONGOLTRANS handles import, export, transit of goods via territory of Mongolia, re-export, air shipments, customs clearance and declaration, operates own container terminal, attends in development and aid projects.

As we approach 11th anniversary of MONGOLTRANS we are proud to have founded one of the first freight forwarders and we were able to watch environmental changes in the country since after it interred into free market economy and growth and development of MONGOLTRANS and its services. As a proof of it The Global Quality Management awarded our company with three golden cups for commitment to quality management award in 1994, effective environmental management award in 1997 and master marketing award in 1998.
We hope to continue to watch development of MONGOLTRANS with pride in future.
